Book Review Indian Super foods by Rujuta diwekar
When I started reading this book my expectation was "another book talking bout Food habits and diet" in the driest form ever! why cant books on food diet be entertaining? I think Rujuta Diwekar read my mind and wrote this book. I am very pleased to inform you this book is like "Ghee to your Plain Roti".
This book explains you your own desi superfood with a tadka of sarcasm and that's what makes it a hit! It talks about how we Indians are addicted to following west and that shows in our own health diets. In the world d of acacia berries, Kale, avocados etc which as a kid I never heard of, Rujuta Diwekar reminds us of our own Indian superfoods like ghee, Kokum, Banana, Haldi which is being overlooked by us, cause you know if its "desi" it doesn't fit in our style quotient!
This book will help you realise how our grandmothers and mothers have been the Vedas of superfood and all we need to do is listen and follow to let our own Indian superfood help us in having a healthy Life!
